Jim Lutz has a passion for coaching people. He was involved with the sport of swimming for over 45 years. He taught and coached swimmers from novice “bubble blowers” to those competing on the international stage. He has contributed back to swimming through motivational and inspirational speeches, articles, and seminars. He is a Level 5 (out of 5) certified coach for USA Swimming and NCAA I through the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA). He coached over 30 years, collegiately for 15 years, 11 as a head college coach. His swimmers have won over 130 age group individual state titles, numerous individual high school state champions, NCAA All-Americans, Olympic Trials qualifiers and Academic All-Americans.
Jim has worked in the financial industry as a financial registered representative and as a sales development manager for a Fortune 100 Company.
Jim is a Certified Growth Coach through Lifeforming Leadership Coaching trained by the Christian Coaching School. He also earned a Coaching Foundation Certification as an Accredited Senior Coach with the International Authority for Professional Coaching and Mentoring.
Jim received a Bachelor of Science in Education from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
In 2017, Jim retired from coaching swimmers at Viper Aquatics in Westfield, IN where he served as the Head Age Group/ Head Coach 2008 to 2017. Currently, he lives in the Chicago, Illinois area, serves as Field Agent for an Insurance Company and is Co-host a faith-based podcast with Dr. Randy Marshall called “Salt Talks.”
He has been married to Diane for over 32 years and has two sons Kyle and Kory.
