Kari Brookins believes in hope, freedom, and change. She believes that spiritual health is the key to unlocking health in all other areas of your life. She has a fierce love for Jesus, the spirit of a warrior, and a pragmatic personality. She loves to coach because she loves to help people realize their full potential and cheer them on to reach their dreams.
Kari has encountered numerous transitions, conquered obstacles and challenges, and comes alive helping others do the same. She is passionate about seeing others as unique individuals and helping them develop their God given gifts and talents. Kari has studied Myers-Briggs, Clifton Strength, and Enneagram and enjoys looking at personality from a whole person view.
Kari received a Master of Arts in Counseling from Concordia University Wisconsin (2017) and a Bachelors of Science in K-8 education and Bible from University of Northwestern Saint Paul (2007). After classroom teaching for 6 years, she became a stay at home mom when her oldest child was born.
Kari lives in Minneapolis, MN with her husband of 12 years and three children. When she isn’t spending time with her family, you can find her in the gym training for a mud run, hanging out with friends, or at a local coffee shop reading. She is actively involved with Substance Church and has held a variety of different leadership positions there including: Married for Life directional team, Mom’s Group leadership team, Elementary Kids lead, Awaken Love host, and many other subgroups. She also helped create and lead the church’s first online subgroup, Personality Growth Forum.
